The Sigma 85mm f/1.4 ART lens review

Using the Sigma 85mm f/1.4 ART

I recently got to use the Sigma 85mm f/1.4 ART lens on a photoshoot. It has a real pleasure to use because I was on a quest to get excellent bokeh. I needed an out of focus background for the shots that I was about to do. A friend of mine had the 85mm Sigma ART lens laying around. What I wanted to see was whether it was a good alternative to other more expensive Bokeh king lenses out there. It turned out to be darned good for the price one pays for it. This video sort of highlights my adventures of getting that great hand to hand circus shot with the Sigma lens and the Canon EOS 6D mark2.

This picture was taken on the streets of Shawinigan. Getting this photo meant dealing a great deal with existing downtown traffic. It is not always easy to get that captivating shot and keeping it safe.

The clouds are barely enhanced by the way. Thunderstorm days can bring about some of the most dramatic photos. Check out the video to see why

Many of you are going to say that no one should take pictures on railroad tracks. Well yes. That is what happened here. This was taken in an old railway yard. Not far from the downtown area. It is where I really took the Canon EOS 6D mark 2 to the test using the Sigma 85mm f/1.4 ART. The bokeh is really delicious on this lens.

Sam Letch and Christa Zauner straps off a tower : Image details

We were driving around the city of Shawinigan when we came across this tower near a reservoir. Sam and Christina did not skip a beat. They both opened up their straps circus kit and climbed the tower to take the shots. A storm system had just passed by. This gave us darkness in the foreground and light in a clearing in the background. I love silhouettes
