Revisiting old photoshoots

Photoshop becomes more and more important

A while back I made a video on how I thought that Photoshop post-processing skills are now becoming as important as photo shooting skills. This video confirms some of my ideas that Photoshop editing skills are not only as important but, at times, more important than actual shooting skills.

Revisiting an old photoshoot can sometimes reveal new things

I recently edited a couple of old photos from a shoot done way back in 2016 just to see what dramatic a difference can be obtained in the results when editing skills increase. So here it is; the same shoot with dramatically different results.

Equipment used for this photoshoot

Canon EOS 6D mark1

Sigma 50mm f/1.4 lens

The Canon 85mm f/1.8 lens

72″ inch umbrella

Also used a ring light continuous light for some close portraits
